road trip

can you believe that is officially july?! i really can't comprehend it. the summer is already slipping by so fast...it makes me sick. anyway, we have spent the morning and good part of the afternoon getting ready for our long-anticipated road trip! on sunday, we hit to road to kansas city! i've never been there and i have never been on a road trip this long. i'm excited! hope you all have a great long weekend, and happy fourth of july! any cool plans?

p.s. unless i finish the last 150+ pages of pride and prejudice tomorrow (which i may), that will probably be my trip book. but i'm looking for an audio book i can put on my ipod for the drive (reading in the car will make me puke licorice and jerky). i want something fairly lighthearted and that has a happy ending. i was thinking maybe persuasion (thank you, prerna :) or the secret garden or something. suggestions welcome!
